John Lennon
Biography:

John Lennon, most famous for his time in the British hit band The Beatles, was a songwriter, poet, artist, and philosopher.  Before he was ever a musician, art was his first love, and he studied at the renowned Liverpool Art Institute between 1957-1960 before dropping out to join the Beatles. Lennon continued to draw during his time as a chart-topping sensation.

Up until his tragic death, Lennon produced pen, pencil, and Japanese ink drawings, which later became illustrations for his three best selling books: In His Own Write (1964), A Spaniard in the Works (1965), and Skywriting By Word of Mouth (1987).  His graphic collection of lithographs “Bag One” is avidly collected to this day, and has been exhibited globally in the U.S., England, Spain, Italy, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Manila.
